I met Dr. Raissi 6 months ago. I came to him after a nightmare of implants placed by an out of state surgeon. 3 Doctors in consultations informed me that the first Dr. did not place several implants correctly.

I am a long time patient with Dr Raissi. If you could look up every positive adjective his name would be it. Dr Raissi has taken care of me like his own from day one. I had to have all my teeth removed and did the process through him. That’s a pretty big deal so you want someone who is gifted, compassionate, effective, efficient, and personable. That would be Dr Raissi. I have known him for over 5 years. Through the process he has been professional and now a friend. I highly recommend Dr Raissi. Plus he has a great staff. He and Gladys work REALLY WELL together. That is his assistant. She is incredibly gifted and knowledgeable too! She is the biggest sweetheart. ❤️ They truly care of your well being!
The best dentist I have ever been to! I am deathly afraid of dentist, but Dr. Raissi it was a breeze. He put me at ease, like we have known each other forever. I had dental implants done about a year ago and would definitely do it again. I love my new smile! Dr. Raissi is gentle and compassionate. What an exceptional experience. From the moment you step into the office you realize you have taken the right step. Everyone is friendly and highly professional. I had many problems with my teeth and gums for several years. I wore partials that were painful and ill-fitting, as well as worn, making it difficult to chew. My gums were receding, causing my teeth to loosen and separate, causing unsightly gaps. My mouth hurt, ALL THE TIME. For at least three years, I searched the internet, talked to friends, and called 800 numbers trying to find the courage to actually go through with a major, costly, irreversible procedure such as the implant process. Finally, in June of 2015, I made plans, after consultation with Dr. Raissi, to start the process. On July 2, 2015, the initial procedures of extraction, followed by implant placement, were performed. (And, trust me, I spent a little extra money for anesthesia so I slept through it all!) Dr. Raissi didn't rush the healing and shaping process that was necessary, and did frequent checks and fittings, which helped alleviate much discomfort along the way. In just a little over a year, I have a brand new mouth, a whole new look! There is no tenderness or discomfort whatsoever - I eat apples, corn on the cob, steak, anything I want without any trouble. My mouth feels good, too! The best part? It's when I'm around people, talking and smiling, and they interrupt and say, "you have the prettiest smile!"
This place is amazing, and Dr. PeyRay really cares about people as individuals, not just as clients. That level of care emanates through the whole staff.
Several years ago, I was bullied into getting updated dental work done by another dental office. They made changes to my smile that I didn't ask for (and I still hate looking at). They also did a terrible job and I had to get an implant a couple of years later.
I found My New Smile and he clearly explained to me my options and his recommendations, as well as came up with an interim solution that made me feel confident in public during the process. Unlike the other dentist, I knew exactly what to expect every step of the way. And as someone that was uninsured at the time, the front desk staff informed me of options that allowed me to proceed without having too much of a financial burden.
When I got my implant it was right around the time he was switching from using an outside lab to being able to do everything in-house. The fit of my implant was slightly off (which was normal) but rather than send it back, it was secure enough that I could wait until he had things set up to fix it in-house.
I got busy and then the pandemic hit. During the pandemic I had to move across the country. Shortly after, some complications arose due to not getting to finish that last step. I found a dentist locally and Dr. PeyRay went really above and beyond working with them to come up with a solution that let them fix the implant instead of me starting over. He didn't have to do that and I am eternally grateful.
I had a lot of bad experiences with dentists in Nashville, even beyond the ones that bullied me. I now have PTSD when it comes to dentists but everyone at My New Smile makes me feel safe and cared for. If I could fly back to Nashville for every cleaning I would.

I came into my new smile at a really bad place in life. I had 8 implants placed at a oral surgery center and all had failed except for 3. The plan was to get snap in dentures. Everyone at my new smile treated me with the upmost respect and patience. I have been through a lot of trauma when it comes to my mouth and they made it very comfortable for me. I had to come in several times for impressions and the day I came in to get my snap one Dr. Rassie gifted me a fixed top denture that does not come out. He felt bad for me that I’d been through so much and still so very unhappy. He did not ask for extra payment or anything. He just wanted to restore my self esteem and self confidence. I wish there were more people like him in this world. He really cares about his patients over all health. Mentally and emotionally as well. I’m so grateful God put him and his office of wonderful ladies in my life. No matter the problem he can and will restore your smile to better than you ever could imagine.😁

I had been dreading fixing my broken, non existent teeth. My children told me I was withdrawn and not myself anymore. My experience with Dr. Peyman and his incredible staff has been one of complete excellence. I had two implants placed last year and ii was a pleasant experience and I am not one that enjoys going to the dentist and I have great fear, but Dr. Peyman and his whole staff made it a very comfortable and I was treated with great care and professionalism. I was sure that last year would be my last time having to have any more implants placed, but as of yesterday I was wrong. I cracked a font tooth while eating popcorn and was devastated to find out that that tooth that was in my smile line would have to be removed, so once again I went to Dr. Peyman ans he assured me that all would be ok and he did his magic and I left with a pulled tooth that was replaced with an immediate implant and temporary crown with great care and concern by all the staff of My New Smile Dental. I have visited and traveled to dentist after dentist all over Nashville, each time leaving more disappointed and defeated than the last. I came into my new smile at a really bad place in life. I had 8 implants placed at a oral surgery center and all had failed except for 3. The plan was to get snap in dentures. Everyone at my new smile treated me with the upmost respect and patience. I have been through a lot of trauma when it comes to my mouth and they made it very comfortable for me. I had to come in several times for impressions and the day I came in to get my snap one Dr. Rassie gifted me a fixed top denture that does not come out. Yes! Due to Dr. Peyray’s expertise in the field of All-on-4 Dental Implants, we have many patients traveling from around the country to entrust their new smile with My New Smile. Because of this, we have created an out-of-town patient workflow to make the process as efficient for you as possible.
To assure that your surgical appointment and your recovery go as smoothly as possible, let’s go over a few do’s and don’ts for the time leading up to your surgery, starting with one week out.
We will have antibiotics sent over to the pharmacy of your choice. Make sure you pick those up at least one week out. Five days before your surgery, you want to make sure you start taking those antibiotics.
Those antibiotics need to remain in your system for at least five days before your surgery.
We strongly suggest ato stop taking any recreational drugs, smoking, vaping, and any alcohol intake at least one week before your surgery, up to six months after your surgery. If you have been given a Stella Life recovery kit, make sure you start this three days before your surgical appointment.
There is a list of items that we strongly suggest you have on hand for your recovery to be as thoughtless as possible on your end.

We’ve given you medication to take the night before and the day of your surgery. Please make sure that the moment you take the medication the night before your surgery, you do not eat or drink anything after that point until after your surgery is complete—that does include coffee and or tea in the morning.
If you take any other prescriptions for any other medical conditions, please make sure you take those with only a small sip of water unless otherwise directed by the prescribing doctor or Dr. PeyRay.
Also, you cannot drive on this medication no matter how well you feel. You need to have a driver, a responsible adult, drive you to and from your surgical appointment. They do not have to stay with us if they do not want to because your surgery will be a few hours. However, they do need to remain within 15 minutes of the office.
On the day of your surgery, please make sure to wear loose-fitting clothes with short sleeves. Just be as comfortable as possible. Remove all nail polish and makeup. Smartwatches and cell phones are not allowed in the surgical suite. Please do leave them with your driver or at home. It does tend to get pretty chilly in the surgical suite, so if you do have a favorite blanket, please go ahead and bring that with you.

Even though All On Four is completed in a single day, it’s still oral surgery and you need to allow for proper recovery to get the best results. Here’s what to expect during your recovery and things that you can and cannot do.
First and foremost, no pressure inside the mouth. That includes smoking, spitting, drinking through a straw, heavy lifting, and swishing. You want to refrain from doing that for a minimum of three days after your procedure. Swelling, bruising, and bleeding are to be expected a few days after your surgery. Remember, although the mouth seems like a very small area, it is a very intense procedure, but if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
Swelling and bruising can be alleviated by using ice packs for the first three days: 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off. Continue to do that throughout the day. Target the outside of your mouth with ice packs and the inside with popsicles, ice cream, cold drinks, cold soup, and things of that nature.
After about three days, the cold won’t really do much for you. At that point, you want to switch it to heat, doing the same thing: 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off.
Bruising might be present for a period of 5 to 10 days, and in some instances can last longer depending on the surgery that you’re getting done.
Some other things you might encounter:
No Smoking
Smoking can increase pain and lead to poor healing. The longer you refrain from smoking, the less chance you have of problems arising, and the higher chances you have of the surgery being successful. You should not smoke for a minimum of six months after your surgery is performed.
In regards to your diet, nothing hot in temperature, nothing spicy, nothing with tiny seeds, and no carbonated drinks. And you want to refrain from consuming any of these for a minimum of five days. Remember, anything hot in temperature and anything spicy will cause these areas to become very irritated. Anything with tiny seeds can get caught in the surgical sites and possibly cause an infection. Carbonated drinks cause dry sockets which are extremely painful and should be avoided at all costs.
Essentially, you just want to stick to a very soft diet. Remember, your surgery is fresh. We don’t want to disturb anything inside of your mouth. We do want everything to heal properly. Please give your mouth the rest it needs and deserves.
Food such as mashed potatoes, yogurt, and protein shakes as a rule of thumb are safe. If you cannot pinch it with your fingers, you cannot consume it, at least for the first six months. Again, you want these areas to heal up very nicely, especially if you have implants placed in your mouth. Give that implant time to rest, to bond with your jawbone.
Excellent oral hygiene should still be continued in any areas of your mouth that were not treated surgically. If you receive the Stella Life recovery kit, please continue to use this for one whole week. Again, instructions are on the side and you do also receive the pamphlet with all the instructions. Now that it’s after your surgery, you are going to start including the spray as well. You should start using your water pick three days after your surgery. The instructions are written on the container for whichever water pick you got. If you feel uncomfortable, do the best that you can. When you come in for your postop visit, we will go over exactly how to use that water pick.
In the meantime, after your surgery, just do the best that you can. You should start using your toothbrush at the same time, three days after your surgery. Be very gentle, but nonetheless, still, brush. Remember, no toothpaste. Toothpaste is very abrasive and you’re going to start to take away all that shine and all that polish from your prosthesis.
And last but not least, your prescriptions. More than likely, we sent these prescriptions before your surgery date and you would have already started the antibiotics. In some cases, the day of surgery.
Remember, the recovery may be inconvenient and tedious but the new smile is so worth it! Before you know it, you’ll be enjoying all the foods you love again and never have to worry about losing your teeth again, assuming you take proper care.
